Intimate Partner Assault

A 56-year-old Wallaceburg man has been arrested and charged after police alleged he struck his girlfriend with his truck.

Chatham-Kent (CK) police alleged the unidentified accused drove his truck over the curb and struck his girlfriend on Murray Street in Wallaceburg on Wednesday following an alleged confrontation with the female victim.

She was not injured, according to police.

The suspect was charged with dangerous driving and assault with a weapon.

Mischief Charge

A dispute between neighbours has led to charges against a 38-year-old Chatham man.

Chatham-Kent (CK) police alleged the suspect kicked the woman’s door on Lowe Street in Chatham on Wednesday following an argument and damaged the locking assembly.

The unnamed man was arrested at his home next door and was charged with mischief.
