A yellow snowfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada for Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Windsor Essex.
The national weather agency said snow, heavy at times, is expected to begin Sunday morning with winds gusting 40 to 50 kilometers an hour which may result in local blowing snow.
Total snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 centimetres is possible.
Snow will taper to periods of light snow or flurries from west to east through Sunday night.
Travel will likely be challenging and motorists should allow for extra time if heading out.
