CK residents raise $10K for Lambton Kent District School Board students

A multi-day holiday fundraiser has raised $10,000 for Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) students.

The announcement came from Noelle's Gift to Children following its Merry Magic Fundraiser, which took place from November 12 to 30.

"I am so proud of the incredible support the community has repeatedly shown to Noelle’s Gift to Children, because it has a direct, daily impact on students right here in CK," said Caress Lee, Chair of the Chatham‑Kent Chapter of Noelle’s Gift to Children.

The fundraiser was held at Links of Kent and included Gingerbread house making, Senior's Tea, Breakfast with Santa, School Field Trips, and Tree Raffles.

The statement notes that the generosity of the community will directly benefit students across the three school boards in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton.

"We are so grateful for the incredible individuals who donated their time and energy toward this event,” said Gary Girardi, Director of Education at LKDSB.

The funds will be used to stock school-based closets, support student nutrition programs, help fund the Grade One Water Bottle Program, support emergency school support, as well as community events.

Noelle's Gift to Children is scheduled to host its next event, the second annual Light Up the Night for Noelle, on April 24.
