UPDATE: Wind Warning issued for CK lifted, power outages continue

A Yellow Warning due to strong winds, issued for Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas on Friday afternoon, is over.

Environment Canada warned that strong westerly winds gusting up to 110 km/h on Friday afternoon could cause some property damage and possible injury due to flying or falling debris.

Hydro One reported some power outages due to the strong winds.

Walpole Island had more than 750 customers without power. It has since been restored.

Scattered power outages were also reported just outside of Bothwell, Newbury, and Pain Court as of 8 p.m. on Friday.
