An impressive month in December has resulted in some recognition for Chatham Maroons forward Alexander Lisi.
He's been named the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) Rookie of the Month.
Lisi had points in four of the Maroons' six games in December, and had three points in Chatham's 5-4 win against LaSalle on the 14th, including the game-winning goal in overtime.
The 16-year-old then had a career-high five points in the Maroons 8-4 win over Waterloo on the 19th, and scored the shootout winner in Chatham's 2-1 victory over Waterloo on the 21st.
Lisi made his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) debut on Saturday, January 3, when he was an emergency call-up to Owen Sound. He was a seventh-round pick (#128 overall) for the Attack in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
He's scheduled to participate in the 2026 GOHL Top Prospects Game on January 13 as part of the OHL's Connor McDavid Top Prospects event in Peterborough.
