Two-vehicle collision in CK leaves one man dead

A 63-year-old man has died after being involved in a two-vehicle collision near Thamesville.

Chatham-Kent (CK) police say that on December 29, an SUV driven by an 81-year-old woman ran a stop sign at the intersection of Selton Line and Orford Road and collided with a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck was not injured; however, the woman and a man riding in the SUV were both transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).

The man was later transferred to the Windsor Regional Hospital, where he would pass away from his injuries on January 1.

The collision is still under investigation.
