Wanted Man Arrested

A wanted 31-year-old man was found after he allegedly crashed an ATV into a building.

At about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to Nelson Street in Wallaceburg for a single-vehicle collision.

After investigating, officers realized the driver was wanted for failing to appear in court in July. He was initially charged with stealing a woman's bank cards and using them at a business in Wallaceburg.

The man was re-arrested and additionally charged with mischief and driving while prohibited.

He's since been released from police custody with a future court date.

Domestic Assault

CK police have charged a 40-year-old Chatham man for allegedly assaulting and forcibly confining his partner.

Just after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to a home in Chatham for a domestic dispute.

According to police, a man and a 38-year-old woman got into a verbal fight, leading up to the man physically assaulting the woman. Police added that the man refused to let the woman leave.

The man was arrested and charged.

He's since been released from police custody with a future court date.
