Elgin OPP closed the highway from Victoria Road to Kent Bridge Road just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 16.
Police say one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following the crash that involved a transport truck and a vehicle.
No word on charges at this time. The westbound lanes of the 401 reopened around 8:45 a.m.
Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
