The Southwest Agricultural Conference is coming to the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in the new year.
The two-day event will take place on Tuesday, January 6 and Wednesday, January 7.
In-person attendees can choose from four different sessions each hour on a variety of topics, including wizard, corn, soybeans, wheat, marketing, economics, weather, drainage, irrigation, drones, fertilizer, soil, phosphorus, agronomy, and more.
Select sessions will be live-streamed for virtual participants, plus, a special two-hour sprayer clinic will be offered twice daily.
There are also two guest speakers, including Terry O'Reilly, who will talk about how farmers can tell their story, connect with the public, and grow trust in agriculture. Dr. Jody Carrington will talk about how to reconnect, recharge, and reignite your passion for people and purpose.
All in-person sessions will be recorded and available on demand until March 31 for all attendees.
There will also be a trade show showcasing the latest in crop production technology, and the "Taste Ontario" reception on January 6.

The conference in Ridgetown is the first of three events put on by the Ontario Agricultural Conferences (OAgC) across the province in January. They also host the Midwest Ag Conference in Waterloo on January 16, and the Ontario Crop Conference in Kemptville on January 27.
