UPDATE: Crash sends two to hospital

Two people were taken to the hospital in a crash Monday morning in Sarnia.

Lambton OPP and EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision involving an SUV and a pickup truck at the intersection of Churchill Line and Mandaumin Road at 6:49 a.m. 

Police said two people (the SUV driver and a passenger) were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection and surrounding roads were closed until just before 11 a.m. while police conducted their investigation.

OPP said a 67-year-old Wallaceburg resident was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an unsafe turn.
