Chatham Disturbance

A disturbance in Chatham has led to charges against a 26-year-old man from Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police reported they got a complaint Wednesday night about an individual on Coverdale Street in Chatham yelling at two people and making threatening statements.

Police said the accused was arrested a short distance away.

He is facing two charges of uttering threats. One is threatening to cause death or bodily harm and the other is threatening to damage property.

The accused was also charged with failing to comply with a release order after police alleged he breached his release order which required him to not contact or communicate with specific persons and not to be within a specific distance of their residence.

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

CK police charge woman with assault

According to Chatham-Kent police, the victim was walking around King Street East in Chatham when she was approached by a woman she didn't know and struck in the face.
