Environment Canada issued the warning before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, cancelling it around an hour later.
The weather agency was calling for strong wind gusts and a large amount of rain. There's currently no reports of any local flooding.
The shelter plans to remain open until 7 a.m. on Saturday, when the smoke is expected to leave the area.
