CKHA calling on mural artists

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is seeking a local artist to create a mural for the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence (SADV) Treatment Center.

"The mural will provide comfort and strength for victims and survivors of assault," said Tara Greenway, Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Team Lead and Clinical Resource Nurse.

There are a few parameters, as the piece must be inclusive, appropriate for all ages, and free of imagery that may trigger victims.

Artists will have to fill a space 8.5 feet tall by 12 feet wide.

Proposals will be accepted from August 5 through August 30, with work set to happen between September and the end of November.

The chosen artwork submission will receive a $1,000 award to cover its creation and materials.

Anyone interested in applying can find more information here.
