John McGregor Secondary School (JMSS) in Chatham was the place to be for vintage car lovers.
A Mini Classic Car Show took place on Monday with around 20 cars being showcased. JMSS partnered with the Historic Downtown Chatham BIA and the Kent Historic Auto Club to put on the event.
Co-organizer Ken Gall told CK News Today they were lucky to get as many vehicles as they could.
"It's early in the season for car guys to have their toys out, the weather (also) wasn't in our favour when doing the planning," he said.
The original plan was for several cars to come out so art students at JMCC could photograph them and create canvases to showcase at next month's Retrofest. While these art projects still happened, the decision was made to allow the public and the rest of the school the opportunity to see and learn more about the vehicles.
One of the students who took part in the event was Jordan Holland. He created the logo for the Car Show which ended up being put onto shirts.

"At first, it was just going to be scratches with panther eyes sticking out which would represent our school, but then I got inspired by a teacher to turn the ends of the stripes into tire marks," added Holland.
Holland was quick to answer when asked whether he'd like to drive or own one of the vehicles.
"I love to hear that baby purr, I love the noise," he said enthusiastically.
Anyone who missed the car show will have to wait until Retrofest to see these cars again. The popular event is scheduled to happen on May 23 and 24 in downtown Chatham.
