Public Mischief
A 42-year-old man from Blenheim has been charged with public mischief after allegedly calling 9-1-1 several times without a valid emergency.
Chatham-Kent police reported the suspect, known to police, called 9-1-1 four times on April 1, 2025 over a span of 2.5 hours and was warned to stop. However on Monday night, police alleged the man called 9-1-1 again for a non-emergency and was arrested on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Assault Suspect Surrenders
A 37-year-old Scarborough man has turned himself in to Chatham-Kent police after an arrest warrant was issued three years ago when he failed to show up for court in Chatham.
Police said the suspect is facing an assault charge from a March 1, 2022 incident in Wallaceburg and was to attend court in Chatham in April 2022.
The charge of assault causing bodily harm stems from a gathering at a residence in Wallaceburg, where police alleged the accused became intoxicated and physically assaulted a 34-year-old woman from Wallaceburg.

401 Crash Charge
A careless driving charge has been laid against a driver after a commercial vehicle crashed and blocked the on ramp to the eastbound Highway 401 at Bloomfield Road in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) also charged the 27-year-old from Muikirk with failing to surrender their licence following the collision on Monday afternoon.
The OPP said no injuries were reported.
