Two Tilbury men injured in bear spray attack
A 54-year-old Tilbury man faces a pair of charges after he allegedly sprayed someone in the face with bear mace during an argument.
According to CK police, they were called to a Young Street address in Tilbury just after 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers said the man was walking home when he ran into a 38-year-old man he'd had a disagreement with earlier in the day. Police added that the men started arguing again, which is when the 54-year-old pulled out the bear spray.
The spray also affected the attacker's own eyes, police said.
Both of the individuals were checked out and cleared by paramedics.
The man who used the bear spray has been charged with assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance. He has since been released from police custody with conditions and an April 23 court date.
