Harassment Arrest

A Chatham man has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment after police alleged he was stalking his partner.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the 50-year-old man was repeatedly following his partner from place to place and was staking out the victim's house, work, or any other place they went to.

According to CK police, the suspect was arrested in Chatham Monday night in connection with Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).

Chatham-Kent police noted they are committed to supporting victims of Intimate Partner Violence, adding that you are not alone and help is available if you or someone you know is experiencing IPV.

Traffic blitz

Chatham-Kent police have issued a bunch of traffic tickets in Raleigh Township.

Police reported they issued 10 Provincial Offence Notices and seven cautions in Raleigh Township on Monday night using advanced laser technology to "precisely measure" vehicle speeds and "accurately detect" traffic violations in real-time.

"This tool offers improved accuracy over traditional radar-based speed detection devices, ensuring that the Chatham-Kent Police Service can more effectively enforce traffic laws and improve public safety," said CK police.

Theft Suspects

Chatham-Kent police need help identifying three alleged theft suspects (photo below).

Police said the trio was caught on camera at the Sportchek located at 653 Grand Avenue West in Chatham allegedly stealing a pair of Nike Shoes.
