Chatham man charged with mischief
A 39-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after he used his scooter like a battering ram.
Chatham-Kent police said the man intentionally drove a scooter into the side of a vehicle at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham and then threatened to assault the driver of that vehicle.
Police said they were called to the scene shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, adding that the man was arrested on charges of mischief and uttering threats.
He also has a criminal record for prior offences including harassment, mischief, and impaired driving.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Three arrests on outstanding warrants
Chatham-Kent police managed to cross three more names off of their wanted list with a trio of arrests on Monday.
Officers picked up a 33-year-old Chatham man at around 10:30 a.m. at the Chatham courthouse on reasonable grounds for mischief.
Just over an hour later, CK police arrested a 41-year-old man from Dresden on Grand Avenue West in Chatham who was wanted for failing to attend court, failing to comply, and failing to comply with his probation order.
Both of those two men were later released with conditions and a future court date.
Chatham-Kent police also arrested a 46-year-old Chatham man on Grand Avenue West in Chatham at around 3 p.m. Monday who was wanted for theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to attend court. He was later arrested and taken to CK police headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.
