Theft suspect returned from Toronto
A Brampton man has been returned to the custody of Chatham-Kent police.
Toronto police contacted CK police on Thursday to advise that they had been holding a 31-year-old man. He was being held for an endorsed warrant for theft and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
Police in Toronto agreed to release the suspect for a court date.

Man charged with breaching a release order
A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man for being out past curfew.
CK police officers stopped the driver for an infraction. They learned that the man was breaching the curfew condition of his release order.
The man, who was already out on three outstanding matters, was held for bail.

RIDE programs held across Chatham-Kent
CK officers conducted four Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) programs overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
One was set up on Dufferin Avenue at Agness Street in Wallaceburg. Twelve vehicles were checked with no infractions.
The second was on Talbot Street West in Blenheim. Twelve vehicles were also checked with no tests administered or infractions.
In Tilbury, a checkpoint was set up on Mill Street. There were 19 vehicles checked with one traffic warning given. There were no tests administered.
Finally, a RIDE program was set up on Grand Avenue West at Keil Drive in Chatham. No tests were performed, but out of 40 vehicles checked, one traffic warning was given.
