Maroons collecting coats to keep CK residents warm this winter

The Chatham Maroons are using their next event night to help those in need.

The team announced "Operation Cover Up" on Tuesday.

Fans are asked to bring new or gently used winter coats to the game on Sunday, December 15, so they can eventually be distributed to people who need them.

The team is asking for more kid's and men's coats as that's where needs are in Chatham-Kent this year.

Volunteers will be in the Memorial Arena's main lobby before the game to collect the coats.

The Maroons face the KW Siskins on Sunday. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
