Pursuit called off for public safety
An officer on general patrol in Chatham spotted a motorcycle without a proper licence plate on Keil Drive just after 5 p.m. on Saturday.
When police tried to pull the motorcycle over, the driver took off at a high rate of speed.
The officer did not try to pursue the vehicle due to public safety concerns.

Family dispute leads to charges
A 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested following an alleged family dispute.
Chatham-Kent police were called to the area of Prince Arthur Avenue in Chatham around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers had already been called to the area earlier in the evening for a similar call about the same man.
When police arrived, the 19-year-old was intoxicated and unable to care for himself in a public area.
He was arrested, taken to police headquarters, and held until sober.

Woman arrested on outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent police arrested a 30-year-old woman in a parking lot on St. Clair Street in Chatham around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers say she was wanted in connection to an outstanding robbery investigation.
She was arrested without incident and was later released with conditions and a future court date.
