Christmas is just around the corner and the town of Blenheim will welcome the holidays this weekend with a number of events.
Santa Claus rolls into town on Friday, December 6 for the annual Santa Claus Parade. It will start at Harwich Raleigh Public School at 7 p.m. and go down the main street of Blenheim.
Santa will then be at the opening of the Festival of Lights at Talbot Trail Place after the parade around 8 p.m.
Brand new this year at the park is a Night Market on Saturday, December 7.
"We have the new market, which starts at 3 p.m. and goes until 8," said night market organizer Debbie Brush. "Within that we have caroling at the park in the evening hours, so it's going to be a fun-filled weekend here in Blenheim. They thought having a night market would be a great thing to add, and we hope to build upon this every year."
Brush adds that they'll have 40 vendors at the market.
"Which includes all of the food truck, and the makers, bakers, and creators. John Street isn't a very big street, so it's the street that's right in front of the park. So it is being closed off, and we will have the 40 vendors right on the street," said Brush.
The lights at Talbot Trail Place will continue through the holiday season.
