St. Andrew's 2024-25 concert series returns

St. Andrew's United Church will launch this season's concert series with a celebration of Disney composer Alan Menken.

"A Whole New World" will take place on Saturday, September 28 at 7 pm, kicking off the 2024-25 Saturdays at 7 series.

"The music of Alan Menken has always had a special place for me as I was part of the generation that grew up on his Disney classics," explained Devon Hansen, St. Andrew's Director of Music and accompanist for the program.

The concert is family-friendly and will explore Menken's career, in chronological order, highlighting his contributions to TV, film, and Broadway.

Local artists including Colin Bell, Andrew Derynck, Victoria Hoshowsky, Sarah Steele, Josh Campbell, and Meg Mackenzie will appear.

Donations will be accepted at the door and will go towards the music program at the church.
