The Chatham-Kent Police Service arrested a 43-year-old man in connection to a string of commercial break and enters in the municipality.
Police collaborated with Community Patrol and the Intelligence Unit to launch an extensive investigation after a similar pattern was identified in the break-ins in August.
Using video surveillance analysis, witness interviews, and various other investigative techniques, officers identified a primary suspect in the crimes.
The Chatham-Kent man was arrested on Saturday, August 31 and charged with 11 counts of break and enter, nine counts of possession of stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance.
He was held for a bail hearing, then he was remanded into custody and transported to the Southwest Regional Detention Centre.
Police continue to investigate the other unidentified suspects.
