Psychological assessment ordered for Tilbury man accused of murder

A Tilbury man charged with murdering an acquaintance from the same town is going to be psychologically assessed to determine if he's criminally responsible for the man's death.

Justice Robert Horton ordered a 30-day assessment for David Trealout in Chatham court on Thursday regarding criminal responsibility.

The order will take effect once Trealout is admitted to the South West Centre for Forensic Mental Health in St. Thomas.

The court previously heard that Trealout wanted to fire his lawyer earlier in the legal proceedings and wanted to represent himself, but later changed his mind.

Trealout's matter returns to Chatham court on October 11, 2024 for an update on the progress of the assessment.

The body of 55-year-old Henry Neudorf of Tilbury was discovered at the side of Townline Road, north of Maple Line in Dover Township in January 2024.

Trealout, 34, Kimberly Price, 52, and Darin Noland, 61, all from Tilbury, were charged with first-degree murder.

Chatham-Kent police previously said all parties were known to each other.

Noland is expected to enter a plea in Chatham court on September 10, 2024.

Price's case is still going through the court system.

All of the accused are still in custody.

A publication ban prevents more information from being published.
