Woman arrested for breach of peace

A 37-year-old Chatham woman was arrested for breach of peace early Sunday morning.

Police said they received a call just after 3 a.m. from a residence in the Kirk Street area about a woman causing a disturbance and fighting with family members.

According to police, the woman was intoxicated and continuing to cause issues so she couldn't be left at the residence.

She was taken to police headquarters where she was held until sober.

Man arrested for public intoxication

A Chatham man was taken into custody for causing a disturbance at an establishment on King Street early Sunday morning.

According to police, the 30-year-old man was refusing to leave the establishment and police said he was found intoxicated and belligerent and would not leave with police direction.

The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters and held in custody until he was sober.

Man arrested for outstanding warrants

Police were investigating a traffic complaint Saturday morning in the area of McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham when the driver and owner of the vehicle was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The 36-year-old-Chatham man was arrested and later released from headquarters after agreeing to a future court day.
