Man arrested for LCBO thefts

A 27-year-old man has been arrested following two separate thefts at the LCBO on Wellington Street West in Chatham.

According to police, on the morning of June 25, the Chatham man concealed a bottle of liquor in his coat and fled the store without paying.

On the evening of June 26, the man once again concealed a bottle in his coat and fled the store without paying.

Chatham-Kent Police Services located the man on Saturday morning just after 10:15 a.m. and arrested him without incident. He is being charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of failure to comply with release order.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

A Chatham woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police said they received a call Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. about a suspicious person in the Wellington Street West area in Chatham.

According to police once she was apprehended a search of her name revealed an outstanding warrant for failure to attend court.

The 32-year-old woman was arrested and is being held in police custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking

A 23-year-old Tilbury man was arrested after disobeying court orders.

On June 29, just before 8:30 a.m. police responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence on Bond Avenue.

The Tilbury man had court orders not to visit this residence stemming from an assault that happened during a different incident.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival but was soon tracked down. He was arrested for fail to comply with undertaking and is in custody pending a bail hearing.
