The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has been promoted to Interim President and CEO.
Aaron Ryan has been Vice President of Performance & Chief Financial Officer at CKHA for several years and will assume the role of Interim President and CEO at CKHA beginning June 24, 2024.
"Mr. Ryan will fulfill the executive leadership role until the recruitment process to find CKHA’s next President and CEO concludes," CKHA said in a news release on Monday morning. "During this transitional period, Mr. Ryan will also continue his CFO responsibilities."
CKHA's outgoing president and CEO Lori Marshall is retiring this month and the search for her permanent replacement continues.
CKHA said Ryan has over 16 years of healthcare leadership experience. He is currently responsible for the leadership and direction of Finance, Procurement, Decision Support, Planning, Capital Planning, Health Records, Facilities and Support Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, and Pharmacy.
Ryan is also responsible for working with other organizations and stakeholders to establish and sustain partnership opportunities, noted CKHA.
Ryan returned to CKHA in 2019 after being the Director of Financial Services at Windsor Regional Hospital. Before that, he held the Director of Finance and Decision Support role at CKHA from January 2013 to September 2015.
Ryan developed several collaborative relationships between 2013 and 2015 both within the organization and across the broader community, said CKHA.
Ryan was also Director of Finance at the former Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre before joining CKHA.
Ryan is a graduate of the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2002 and completed his Master’s in Business Administration in 2009, according to CKHA, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
