Chatham-Kent police have tracked down the third suspect who was wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in Chatham earlier this spring.

CK police put out a call for tips on May 27 in an effort to track down 39-year-old Michael Vandusen, who was on the local police service's Most Wanted list.

Officers issued an update Monday morning saying they managed to arrest him just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday on Stanley Street in Chatham.

He was wanted for several charges including:

  • Break, enter, and commit robbery

  • Pointing a firearm

  • Disguise with intent

  • Failing to comply with a release order x2

  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order x5

The accused was taken to police headquarters first, then held pending a bail hearing on Sunday. As a result of that bail hearing, he was taken back into custody with another court appearance scheduled for Monday.
