Pet dies in Tilbury house fire

An early morning house fire in Tilbury has caused $350,000 in damage and killed a pet.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services reported the blaze broke out on Monday at approximately 5:55 a.m., adding fire crews arrived to find a fully involved structure fire at a single-family dwelling at 4818 Tecumseh Line in Tilbury.

Everyone got out of the burning home safely, said CK Fire.

Crews are still on scene and fire officials are asking the public to avoid the area.

No injuries are being reported.

The cause will be released later.
