BrewFest CK returns bigger and better in 2024

Beer lovers should mark their calendars, as BrewFest CK is back again this summer with an exciting lineup of events.

The celebration of community, family, friends, and local craft beer will build on last year's success with music, live entertainment, and, of course, more beer.

"BrewFest CK is quickly becoming one of Chatham-Kent’s premier events," Tourism Development Chatham-Kent's Shannon Paiva said.

"It's wonderful to see thousands of people flock from across the province to visit each of our four breweries for their respective celebrations," Paiva added. "Not only do our breweries benefit, but tourism attractions across the municipality benefit in economic spin-off at a time when they need it most."

BrewFest CK originated as FarmFest at Red Barn Brewing in 2021, marking their official grand opening after being unable to celebrate due to the pandemic.

Following that success, the BrewFest team decided to bring together the best of Chatham-Kent's local craft beer scene and to create BeerFest CK.

The dates for this year's events are as follows:

  • MoonFest at Sons of Kent: July 13, doors open at 3 p.m.

  • Eaufest at Bayside Brewing: August 10, doors open at 2 p.m.

  • FarmFest at Red Barn Brewing: August 31, doors open at noon.

  • RiverFest at Glasstown: September 14, doors open at 11 a.m.

"Once again we are super excited to kick off Brewfest CK in our Backyard Venue on Saturday, July 13th," said Doug Hunter, the co-owner of Sons of Kent. We have some great bands playing, awesome food trucks, and four great breweries coming together again to serve our fans!"

Nancy Cowan, the co-owner of Bayside Brewing, said that they're excited to collaborate in the festival again this year.

"These events are examples of 'locals supporting locals' with sponsorships from locals and fundraising proceeds from these events going to support local community groups dedicated to improving Chatham-Kent," she added.

In addition to celebrating local craft beer, BrewFest CK events support local organizations and causes, including Santa for Seniors, the Blenheim Health Foundation, the Erieau Community Association, and Community Living Wallaceburg.

TekSavvy remains the major sponsor for BrewFest CK.
