Victoria Day closures across CK

The unofficial start of summer has arrived and with it comes holiday Monday closures.

Most services will continue as usual over the course of the weekend, with the exception of well-water testing. CK Public Health will pause the acceptance of well water samples at 11 a.m. on Friday and resume taking them on Tuesday morning.

All other public health services will be closed only on Monday.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be altering their services on Monday.

Hemodialysis, scheduled diagnostic testing, and the Emergency Department will remain open while all other departments will be closed.

Other Victoria Day closures include:

  • Service Ontario

  • Entegrus and other public utilities

  • Employment, Social, and Housing Services

  • Emergency Services - though police, fire, and ambulance are accessible by dialing 911

  • Provincial Offences Court

  • EarlyON programs

  • area pools, libraries, and arenas - with the exception of the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre

  • all municipal arts and culture venues - including Chatham Capitol Theatre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Kiwanis Theatre, Thames Art Gallery, ARTSpace

  • all Leaf and Yard Depots

  • the Harwich and Wallaceburg Transfer Stations

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the entire week.

The municipality is also advising all Ride CK users that transit services won't be available on Monday.
