CK police investigation into online child exploitation leads to Alberta man's arrest

A province-wide investigation into online child exploitation in Ontario led Chatham-Kent police to a 60-year-old man from Alberta.

Chatham-Kent police said as part of Project Aquatic, which was held between February 19 and March 1, they partnered with the Windsor Police Service to execute four search warrants in five locations across Chatham, Windsor, and Amherstburg.

As a result of those searches, police seized 23 electronic devices and laid 21 charges (10 by Chatham-Kent police).

A 60-year-old man from Wetaskiwin, Alberta was also arrested and charged with five offences by police in Alberta in connection with an investigation that was initiated by Chatham-Kent police during the province-wide project.

He was taken into custody and later released with conditions and a future court date.
