Woman arrested for domestic violence

A 40-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested for assault Saturday morning after a domestic dispute.

Around 1:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police responded to a dispute in the area of Forhan Street in Wallaceburg.

Police said that a man and woman had engaged in a verbal argument which then turned physical.

The woman was placed under arrest and charged with assault for allegedly choking the man, who had sustained visible injuries as result.

The woman was later released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.

Tips sought in King Street East break-in

Police are looking for the public's help solving a break in that occurred overnight Thursday.

Sometime between May 2 at 5 p.m. and May 3 at 7 a.m., a secure warehouse was broken into on the property of 205 King Street East, Chatham.

Several items of value were and approximately $500 in damage was sustained to the building as a result of the forced entry.

Man arrested for violating house arrest

A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested Friday evening for breaching a conditional sentence order.

Around 5 p.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted man on the premise of a property on King Street East in Chatham.

Upon arrival, investigating officers learned that the man was subject to house arrest, at which time he was placed under arrest without incident.

The 28-year-old Chatham man was transported to police headquarters to appear before a Justice of the Peace.
