CK police make multiple warrant arrests

A 30-year-old Chatham man is facing charges of failing to comply with the Sex Offender Registry, two counts of failing to comply with conditions under section 490 of the Sex Offender Registry, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

The man was arrested just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday on Richmond Street in Chatham.

Police determined that the man was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a probation violation investigation.

He was released by police with conditions and a future court date of May 27.

A Chatham-Kent man is facing additional charges for refusing to meet with authorities.

The 28-year-old is facing three counts of failing to attend court and one count of failing to comply with an appearance notice. He also faces a mischief charge in connection to a 2021 investigation.

The man was arrested on Walpole Island at 3:03 p.m. Monday, for a warrant for missing his court dates. CK police transported him back to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

A woman wanted in connection to a theft investigation was arrested in Blenheim on Monday evening.

Chatham-Kent police located her just before 6 p.m. on Marlborough Street. During her arrest an officer confirmed she was wanted on a warrant for missing a court date regarding charges of theft and possession of stolen property.

The 28-year-old Harwich Township woman was released from police custody with conditions and a new court date of May 27.

On Tuesday, a Sarnia woman turned herself in to CK police in relation to an investigation from June 2023.

She surrendered herself just before 7:30 a.m.

Police said she was wanted for obstructing a peace officer, as she provided misleading information to an investigating officer last summer.

The 21-year-old was released from police custody with conditions and a future court date.
