New OB/GYN joining CKHA

Dr. Abdulhamid Azaghdani is the newest addition to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's (CKHA) Women and Children’s Department.

"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Azaghdani to our clinical team and the community," said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, CKHA's Acting Chief of Staff. "He is a great addition to CKHA and will help us further our commitment of delivering patient and family centered care to families in Chatham-Kent."

Dr. Azaghdani is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN), who completed his medical training in Libya in 1993 and practiced medicine in Qatar for four years.

According to CKHA, Dr. Azaghdani will be the fourth OB/GYN with a community practice, who will also be providing services in the hospital. And with another OB/GYN set to join the community this summer the Women and Children’s Department will be fully staffed.

The doctor is no stranger to Canada, having lived with his family in Newfoundland before relocating to the Middle East, and is looking forward to making the move to Chatham-Kent.

"We are so grateful to have learned about Chatham. Although the process of moving your family across the globe can be daunting, we've been well supported," Dr. Azaghdani said. "I look forward to integrating our family into the community and serving my patients well."

Dr. Azaghdai's office is now open.
