Residents in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex can cast their ballot early for the upcoming by-election on May 2.
The returning office in Strathroy at 28537 Centre Road, the former Amy's Restaurant, is now open for eligible residents to vote.
The office is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. for 8 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Elections Ontario said voter information cards will be mailed out between April 16 and 19th and advance voting is scheduled for April 21 to the 26th.
If you were hoping to cast your ballot by mail, you must submit your application by 6 p.m. on April 26. Applications are available through the Elections Ontario website.
To be eligible to vote in the by-election you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.
There are five names on the ballot, vying to fill the seat left vacant when former MPP and Labour Minister Monte McNaughton left provincial politics for a job in the private sector in September.
Longtime Chatham-Kent Councillor Steve Pinsonneault is running for the Progressive Conservatives, Mayor of Lucan-Biddulph Cathy Burghardt-Jesson is running for the Liberals, Kathryn Shailer is representing the NDP, registered respiratory therapist Andraena Tilgner is running for the Green Party, Dr. Keith Benn will represent the New Blue Party of Ontario, Stephen Campbell is running for the None of the Above Direct Democracy Party, and Cynthia Workman is running for the Ontario Party.
