Man banned from Chatham-Kent arrested in Wallaceburg

A 26-year-old man who had been ordered by the court to stay out of Chatham-Kent is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly showed up in Wallaceburg.

CK police said they got a tip at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday that the man was seen on Wallace Street.

When police caught up with him, they arrested him and charged him with failing to comply with a release order.

He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Police nab wanted woman in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police managed to nab another one of the people on their wanted list early Sunday evening.

Police said officers spotted a 42-year-old woman in Chatham at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday who was wanted on a warrant.

She was arrested, taken to police headquarters, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Hang-up call leads police to man violating his bail conditions

A 911 hang-up call led police to a 43-year-old Chatham man who was allegedly breaching his release conditions.

Police said they found the man on Hiram Street while they were following up on the hang-up call at around 1:15 a.m. Monday.

The accused was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with a probation order.

He was taken to police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.
