CK police briefs - Sunday, March 10, 2024

CK police arrest woman for assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and administer noxious substance

A 29-year-old woman was arrested by police on Saturday in connection to a February 13th incident in Chatham.

Police said the woman allegedly assaulted another female and used mace on her.

No serious injuries were reported during that incident.

The 29-year-old was released with an undertaking with a future court date.

Man arrested for assault with a weapon

One man was arrested Saturday afternoon after police received a call about an assault at a Chatham residence.

A 47 year-old man allegedly struck another man with a wrench.

No serious injuries were reported and the man was released with a future court date.

Man arrested for impaired driving

A 60-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after he was found sleeping in the driver's seat of his vehicle.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday police received a driving complaint. Officers found the driver's vehicle parked at the man's residence in Chatham.

When police found the driver he was sleeping behind the wheel and officers believed he was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was transported to police headquarters where he was found to be over the legal limit.

He has been released with a future court date.

Stolen trailer recovered in St. Clair Township traffic stop

Two Chatham-Kent residents were arrested in a traffic stop Tuesday night after they were seen with a trailer that was allegedly stolen nearly one year ago.
