Chatham-Kent police are investigating, but say there is no concern for public safety after a 40-year-old Windsor man was found dead at a residence in Erie Beach.
Police said they were called to the address on Towanda Boulevard at 12:42 a.m. Tuesday for a report of someone needing emergency services.
The initial report to police indicated that the individual had been shot by a gun and officers secured the scene to ensure there was no threat to public safety.
A 40-year-old Windsor man was found deceased and police said it is believed to be an "isolated incident with no concern for public safety."
Chatham-Kent police are still investigating and, as such, there will be a noticeable police presence in Erie Beach.
CK police are extending their condolences to the family of the victim and will not be releasing any more details at this time in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
