Man arrested in Superstore disturbance

The 29-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order after a disturbance at Superstore this morning.

At 7:22 a.m., police responded to St. Clair Street in Chatham after a man was reported tipping over carts and screaming.

Officers arrested the man and confirmed he was bound by a Probation Order prohibiting him from being at that location.

The man was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for intimate partner violence

A 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats

Just after 7 p.m. on Friday, police responded to Northland Drive in Chatham for a disturbance.

Police said the man and a woman engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated when the man assaulted the woman.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Intoxicated man arrested for probation violations

A 25-year-old Charring Cross man was arrested after an officer located him walking on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

According to police, the man was highly intoxicated when the officer located him around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

The officer arrested the man. During a search incident to arrest the officer found a pocketknife in the man’s possession. The officer learned the man was bound by a Probation Order prohibiting him from possessing weapons.

The man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

He was transported to police headquarters and held until sober. He was released with conditions and a future court date in April.

Woman arrested for impaired driving

A 56-year-old Chatham woman was charged with impaired driving on Friday night.

Around 8:40 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on Grand Avenue in Chatham.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Police believed the woman driving to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters for tests.

The woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, and released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested on an outstanding warrant

A 38-year-old Blenheim man was arrested on an outstanding warrant as a result of a theft investigation.

Just after 10 p.m., police located the man on Regent Street in Blenheim.

Officers confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant as a result of a theft investigation.

The man was charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for outstanding assault

A 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and mischief on Saturday morning.

Around 5:10 a.m., officers located the man on Thames Street in Chatham.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant as a result of an assault investigation.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date in April.
