Cash and liquor targeted during Chatham break-in

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips after someone broke into a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police said they were called to the business at around 8:30 a.m. Monday and learned that someone had broken in there either Sunday night or early Monday morning and had taken off with some cash and liquor.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Hannah Roesch at [email protected].

Anonymous caller scan also submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Police investigating break-in at Tilbury business

CK police could also use your help as they investigate a break-in at a business on Queen Street North in Tilbury.

Police said they were called to the unnamed business at around 6:15 a.m. Monday and say the investigation is ongoing.

It's not clear what - if anything - was taken.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact CK police or Crime Stoppers.

Wanted woman nabbed after traffic complaints

A driving complaint in Chatham Monday afternoon led police right to a wanted woman.

CK police said they got that call at around 4:45 p.m. Monday and it led police to check on a vehicle in the area of Gray Street.

Police said they found a 31-year-old Chatham woman there who was known to be wanted on outstanding warrants, so she was arrested.

The woman was later released from custody with a future court date.

Crash in Tilbury claims driver's life

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

CK police charge woman with assault

According to Chatham-Kent police, the victim was walking around King Street East in Chatham when she was approached by a woman she didn't know and struck in the face.
