Don't be alarmed if you see military vehicles in the Clearville area east of Ridgetown this weekend, it's just a training exercise.
The Canadian Armed Forces said Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Combat Engineer Regiment will be brushing up their skills in the Clearville area between Friday and Sunday to "maintain and develop the ability of Canadian Army Reserve soldiers to survive while on operations."
Activities will include vehicle movements and searching through a designated building on private property.
"Thoroughly searching a building is an essential skill that ensures the safety of both military and civilian personnel in a combat zone," said 31 Canadian Brigade Group Public Affairs Officer Lt. Paul Verheye.
Military vehicles will be using roads near Clearville and the public is being asked to take extra caution when approaching the military vehicles.
Soldiers may also be seen with weapons, but Verheye said they will not be loaded with ammunition.
The public is being assured that all measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience to those in the area, and no areas will be closed to the public due to this training.
Lt. Verheye is thanking the public in advance for their understanding and co-operation.
