Chatham-Kent police are closely monitoring after threats were made toward Chatham Kent Secondary School.
Police and the Lambton Kent District School Board say they are aware of the comments and concerns circulating about threats made toward the school and are actively working to investigate the matter.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to ensure everyone's safety,” police said in an update.
There is no threat to the safety of students, staff, or the school at this time, according to police.
"We want to assure the community that we take all threats seriously, and our investigators are actively working to investigate the matter,” said police.
If new information becomes available, police will update the community.
