The advisory included Sarnia-Lambton, Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, and London-Middlesex. It came to an end before 9:30 a.m.
The weather agency was advising residents of near zero visibility in some areas due to the dense fog patches.
The conditions were expected clear up within a few hours of sunrise.
