Chatham-Kent police were able to cross another name off of their wanted list after following up on a well-being check in Chatham.

Police said they were called in to check on a man who was lying on a park bench near Landings Place in Chatham just after 6 p.m. Thursday and confirmed that he did not require medical attention.

Officers also learned that the 30-year-old Raleigh Township man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a probation order, though, so he was arrested.

He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
