Man accused of secretly tracking ex-wife's vehicle

A 33-year-old Walpole Island man is facing a criminal harassment charge after he was allegedly tracking his ex-wife's vehicle with a device that was secretly attached to it.

Police said they received that information Tuesday afternoon and arrested the man early Wednesday morning after he turned himself in at police headquarters.

Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public's help to solve a break-in at a business on Keil Drive.

Police said someone broke into the business at around 6 a.m. Wednesday -- it's not clear what (if anything) was taken.

Power tools stolen from garage in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are also appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a suspect accused of stealing some power tools and some gas cans from a garage on Colborne Street in Chatham.

Police said the break-in took place at around 1 p.m. Tuesday and that the suspect took off with two Black and Decker chainsaws, two Black and Decker sawzalls, and two gas cans.

The total value of the theft is estimated at $1,250.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'6" in height with long curly blonde hair, and he was last seen wearing a green pullover sweater, jeans and a black toque.

Bicycle reported stolen from Wallaceburg garage

CK police are asking for tips as they investigate a break-in at a garage on Murray Street in Wallaceburg where someone took off with a bicycle.

Police said it's believed the suspect forced their way into a garage sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday and stole a woman's purple Supercycle cruiser-style bicycle.

Woman accused of assaulting husband during argument

A 38-year-old Tilbury woman has been arrested and charged with assault after she allegedly hit her husband while they were arguing.

Police said they were called to the residence in Tilbury Tuesday afternoon.

The woman was taken into custody and was later released pending a future court date.
