PJHL playoffs begin this week

The schedules have been released for all four Chatham-Kent teams in the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs.

The Dresden Kings finished in seventh place in the Stobbs Division and will play the second seeded Lakeshore Canadiens in round one. Game one goes Tuesday, March 7 at Atlas Tube Centre at 7 p.m.

The rest of the Kings schedule is as follows:

  • March 8 at Lambton-Kent Memorial Centre at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 10 at Lambton-Kent Memorial Centre at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 12 at Atlas Tube Centre at 5:30 p.m.
  • March 14 at Atlas Tube Centre at 7 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 15 at Lambton-Kent Memorial Centre at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 17 at Atlas Tube Centre at 7 p.m.
The Wallaceburg Thunderhawks are the eighth seed and will have to play the top-seeded Essex 73's in the first round. Game one is set for Tuesday, March 7 at the Essex Centre Complex at 7 p.m.

The rest of the Thunderhawks schedule is as follows:

  • March 8 at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 10 at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena at 8 p.m.
  • March 11 at Essex Centre Complex at 3 p.m.
  • March 14 at Essex Centre Complex at 7 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 15 at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 19 at Essex Centre Complex at 2 p.m. (if needed)
The Wheatley Omstead Sharks are the third seed and will take on sixth seed Amherstburg in round one. Game one goes Wednesday, March 8 in Wheatley at 7:30 p.m.

The rest of the Sharks schedule is as follows:

  •  March 9 at Libro Centre at 7 p.m.
  • March 11 at Wheatley Area Arena 4:30 p.m.
  • March 12 Libro Centre at 7 p.m.
  • March 15 at Wheatley Area Arena at 7:30 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 16 at Libro Centre at 7 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 18 at Wheatley Area Arena at 4:30 p.m. (if needed)
The Blenheim Blades are the fourth seed and will play fifth seeded Mooretown. Game one is set for Thursday, March 9 in Blenheim at 7 p.m.

The rest of the Blades schedule is as follows:

  • March 11 at Mooretown Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 12 at Blenheim Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
  • March 15 at Mooretown Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
  • March 16 at Blenheim Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 18 at Mooretown Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m. (if needed)
  • March 19 at Blenheim Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. (if needed)
