It could be a white Christmas, according to a tweet from Environment and Climate Change Canada's weather account.
On Sunday, the country's official weather and climate source shared a graphic depicting a low pressure system moving across southern Ontario at the end of the week.

"An intense low pressure system is expected to develop Thursday evening into Friday. Very strong winds are likely Friday and possibly Saturday along with significant amounts of precipitation in the form of rain or snow," the caption read. "Holiday travel will be severely impacted."
As of Sunday, there was still a lot of uncertainty about what the looming winter storm will look like. Environment Canada said the exact location of the low pressure system is unknown, so they can't be sure what areas will be affected and with how much precipitation.
To prepare for what may come, the weather agency recommends making alternative plans for holiday travel or activities. They also said Ontarians should monitor the forecast for updates throughout the week.
