Chatham-Kent police investigate string of break-ins
Police are investigating a string of break-and-enters across Chatham-Kent.
On Friday, police were called to an address on Thames Street around 10 a.m. that has several businesses inside.
Police said that sometime overnight on Thursday suspects entered the building and stole multiple items valued at approximately $3,000.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a second report of break in at an apartment complex on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday.
An investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the apartment through an unlocked kitchen window and once inside, stole a TV and laptop valued at $850.

-Police were called to the Bowlerama on Keil Drive in Chatham just after 4:30 Saturday morning after multiple alarm hits.
The front door to the business was found to be insecure.
The building was cleared which revealed that a cash tray was taken from a register. Police are still investigating this matter.

Two people are in the hospital with injuries after a head-on collision Friday morning.
Police said they responded to the crash on Longwoods Road just east of Prince Albert Road shortly after 11 a.m.Both drivers were pulled from their vehicles and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

_ _ _Chatham man arrested for impaired driving, failing to stop after collision
A 23-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after allegedly crashing his car into a parked car and then driving away, all the while under the influence of alcohol.
Police responded to the collision just after 11 a.m. after receiving a call from a witness who saw the driver strike a parked car on Degge Street in Chatham before fleeing the scene.
Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle on Merritt Ave in Chatham, before locating the driver.
He was issued a roadside breath test and failed.
The 23-year-old was taken back to police headquarters for further tests which found him over the legal limit.He was charged with failing to stop after an accident and having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood while operating a motor vehicle.

Warrant arrests in Chatham
A Chatham man is even more trouble with law after being arrested for an outstanding warrant following a disturbance in Chatham Friday afternoon.He was arrested on an outstanding mischief under $5,000.
He was later released with a future court date of December 19, 2022.

A 43-year-old found him himself in police custody after he was located breaking his conditional sentence order at an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham late Friday afternoon.
He was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
